Boudoir by Shelley Moon bio picture
  • WELCOME!

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog!

My name is Shelley Moon and I fell in love with boudoir photography when I started my photography business. Making women feel empowered and beautiful through my work has been exciting, rewarding and most of all... FUN! Since I left the corporate world, I have never looked back and I enjoy every minute of what I do for a living now.

Take a look around and please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I would love to hear from you!

    Sincerely yours,
    Shelley

Miss Stephanie

Today I’m featuring Miss Stephanie, a stunning woman I photographed few months ago. This boudoir session was particularly special, as this is an engagement present to her fiancé. She wanted to give this boudoir album to him on the morning of their wedding day.

As you can see, Miss Stephanie is incredibly beautiful, but looks aren’t the only thing she’s got going on. She’s graduating from medical school this month AND she’s also training for an Ironman in September. Between swim, bike and run workouts, she really enjoys various yoga classes. A woman of many interests!

Even though she was a little nervous before our shoot (who wouldn’t be?), Miss Stephanie was able to relax pretty quickly and we got some gorgeous shots. She brought 2 different outfits for the session and each looked amazing on her. She brought a black lace with cream-colored detail panty and bra set. She borrowed some jewelry for this and she looked amazing. She wore this in bed with white sheets for a luxurious, class look. Since this was an engagement gift, she brought a white set. The white, sheer robe was really great for a few glowing outdoor photos. She even had a veil and cowgirl boots for props. With a couple of props and various settings/positions, there was plenty of variety.

Since we had such an amazing shoot, I asked Miss Stephanie to share a little bit of advice for others who may want to have a boudoir session in the future. Here’s what she had to say:

“Keeps pictures of ideas that you really like! I wanted a sexy, elegant and timeless vibe. I wanted to look confident and show my body. Shelley helped me articulate what I wanted, we both put together some ideas on Pinterest and I was absolutely able to get the look that I wanted.” That’s definitely solid advice!

I’m so thrilled she did this not only because her fiancé will receive a beautiful album of his new bride, but more importantly, as Miss Stephanie stated to me when she booked this session, she is celebrating her life, she is celebrating where she is in life and as she is getting ready for her big day with her partner, she wanted to have something for herself that she can reflect on. Life should be celebrated in many ways and I couldn’t be happier for her.

Miss Melody

6am. Early sunrise. Beautiful bride-to-be. Nothing else was needed for this perfect outdoor boudoir session. Ok. Maybe a down jacket for Miss Melody! 😉 It was below 50 degrees, but you would never know by looking at these images below of my beautiful cousin, Melody. I have known her for the last 12 years of my life. I cannot believe how fast she grew up, about to get married to the love of her life, Ben. It’s happening and her wedding is coming up fast. So, we decided it would be best to shoot when we meet up for Thanksgiving last November in Scottsdale, Arizona. She had a theme in mind and I had a vision. Together, we had a blast and this is the result of us just having a blast. This is by far, my favorite outdoor session.

Thank you Mel for letting me photograph you. You are such an amazing woman. Ben is going to be so surprised! He is one lucky man! CONGRATULATIONS to both of you on your upcoming wedding!

Ms. Ann’s Boudoir Session

Ms. Ann’s boudoir session was so gratifying in so many ways. I wanted to create subtle, yet sexy and classy images for her as she wanted to give her husband an boudoir album for their 22nd anniversary. When I asked for one piece of advice for a long, lasting beautiful marriage, she replied, “Go out on date night every week!” That advice was given to me before and even though that seems impossible with two kids these days, we will definitely try to go out more as we will be celebrating our anniversary some time soon.

Thank you Ms. Ann for a fun, memorable session. I cannot wait to hear what your husband says when you give him your album.
